Unlike others that claim to accurately track caloric expenditure, the RT3 uses a triaxial accelerometer integrated into a single chip. This reduces errors usually found at the board level on many devices. In addition, every chip is tested and we choose only those that fall within strict tolerances, assuring the highest quality and measurement accuracy when used with our proprietary algorithms.
This attention to detail and quality has made the RT3 the tool of choice for researchers interested in obtaining precise kilocalorie expenditure, METs and/or Activity Units data.
The RT3 is docked to a user's PC where the software allows complete setup and control of the Activity Monitor, manages and exports data list files and calculates Activity Units, Mets or Activity Kilocalories.
