PRESS RELEASE
Stayhealthy Launches Free Health Education Platform for Puerto Rico, Putting Children and Families First
New online resource brings free health eBooks in English and Spanish, engaging nutrition education for children and digital health tools to families across Puerto Rico.
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico. RELEASE DATE TO CONFIRM
Stayhealthy Inc., a healthcare technology company founded in 1995, today announced the launch of Stayhealthy Puerto Rico, an online destination designed to make health education easier to access and understand for families across the island.
At the heart of the initiative is a focus on helping children learn about food, nutrition and physical activity from an early age. Through illustrated eBooks, animated characters, music, videos and interactive activities, Stayhealthy aims to make healthy choices relatable and enjoyable, and give parents and caregivers resources to continue those conversations at home.
The platform features the Snack Town All-Stars, a cast of food-inspired characters that introduces younger audiences to fruits, vegetables, active living and everyday wellness. The children's offering includes illustrated books, games and more than 700 songs and videos. The goal is to complement classroom learning by making practical health education fun, accessible and easy to reinforce at home.
The launch also gives Puerto Rico residents access to Stayhealthy's free online library of 49 health and educational titles, covering subjects for adults and children, including diabetes and other common health concerns. According to the company, the books are available in English and Spanish, enabling families to explore health topics in their preferred language.
Beyond the educational library, the site introduces digital health tools, including DiabetesIQ, which uses a photo of a meal to provide a food suitability score and explanation for people managing diabetes. The site also previews PCOS Lens, a nutrition-focused app for polycystic ovary syndrome that is listed as coming soon.
Damon Burrows has been appointed Executive Director for Puerto Rico to lead the initiative. His experience in healthcare and education will support Stayhealthy's efforts to make its educational resources and digital tools available to communities across the island.
“Stayhealthy is thrilled to extend our services to the people of Puerto Rico,” said Damon Burrows. “We believe that everyone deserves access to the tools that can help them manage their health effectively. Our goal is to provide support and resources that empower individuals to lead healthier lives.”
For families, the message is straightforward: learning how to eat well and stay active should not have to wait until a health problem develops. Stayhealthy Puerto Rico is designed to make that education easy to find, approachable and free.
